Health and Safety -
- Annalise will continue to be supported as she deepens her understanding of health and safety.
- We will continue to:
- live a life rich in varied experiences;
- have ongoing discussions regarding safety concerns, particularly as concerns traffic, fire, water,stranger, and bicycle safety;
- review and discuss regulations and fire and arson prevention and safety, as they arise through our day-to-day activities;
- attend special events, such as fire station open houses, exhibits, and events such as Journey Through the Body;
- have free access to television, computer, and online games and programs that support her further health and safety learning.
- learn more about how nutrition, sleep/wake cycles, hygiene, meditation, and exercise choices can affect her overall health;
- have daily opportunities to make informed choices on matters that will affect her own health and safety with parental support and guidance.
- As she continues to become more capable, Annalise will have greater responsibility for and freedom in making these decisions.
- As her body is maturing, we will discuss puberty and the changes it brings in greater detail, throughout the course of our day-to-day living.
- As a family, we will address such topics as the abuse of drugs, the dangers of alcohol and tobacco use, and sexual safety.
